Client: Temple Bar Properties (now Temple Bar Cultural Trust)
Feasibility study completed 2004
The re-development of Temple Bar in the mid 1990’s as a new Cultural Quarter for Dublin has proven to be enormously successful. We were commissioned by Temple Bar Properties to prepare a report that would shape developments there over the next 10 years. The report identified 20 key areas that could be improved, including:
- Improvements to the public domain, including the two main squares
- Access to information
- Proposals to increase footfall to the West End
- Introduction of temporary workspaces for artists
Following the publication of the report, we have since been commissioned by Temple Bar Cultural Trust to prepare feasibility studies for two of the proposals; a tethered observation balloon at the West End of Temple Bar and an openable rainscreen over Meeting House Square.
