The Rediscovery Centre is a unique and new kind of recycling facility that will enable effective recycling, promote the principle that waste materials can be reused creatively, and provide visitor, recreational and educational facilities to help engage the local community in a meaningful and productive way.

The proposed Rediscovery Centre Building has been specifically designed to allow a clear understanding of the processes taking place within it. The building has been designed to provide maximum flexibility to accommodate future expansion and is to be built from materials that have a low impact on the environment. The design strategy aims to have a zero energy building that provides a comfortable internal environment with lots of fresh air for its occupants.
